Public Involvement

This project is being developed using elements of IDOT’s Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS).  Click here to learn more about the IDOT CSS process.

Elements of the CSS approach will provide stakeholders with the tools and information they require to effectively participate in the Study process, including providing an understanding of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) processes, transportation planning guidelines, design guidelines, and the relationship between transportation issues (needs), project objectives (purpose), and project alternatives.

A Stakeholder Involvement Plan (SIP) has been developed to outline the opportunities and timeline for outreach activities. This Plan is available here and includes, but is not limited to a Project Team and a Corridor Advisory Group (CAG).

This project will have 3 public information meetings open to the general public.
